In every zoo there has to be at least one monkey because the reason people visits zoos is they want to check out what the monkeys are doing! The Western zoo is no different except here the monkey is in fact a human - namely me!
So let me start out with a short description of your new favorite primate; I am a 23 years old Caucasian male, I live in a small apartment in Aarhus N, Denmark, and I am a medical student at the University of Aarhus - an old campus like university, which is rather rare here in Denmark.
One rainy October day some 23 years ago something beautiful happened at a hospital in the city of Frederikshavn (population of 43,600 according to Wikipedia) in Northern Jutland, Denmark - I was born. For the first 18 years of my life I lived in a rather small town called Gaerum, positioned approximately 5 km (3 miles) outside Frederikshavn. Both Frederikshavn and Gaerum pretty much bores the hell out of everyone who lives there, and I only go back there to see my mother.
My father died in 1997 from what I assume was a coronary blood cloth, while he was on a business trip to Brussels. It was rather hard on me, but I have recovered.
In 2003 I finished high school and set sails for Gothenburg, Sweden where I lived for about three months. I had a great time living in Gothenburg and it remains one of my favorite places in the world. I cleaned hotel rooms at a highway hotel, and the salary was pretty lousy, because I was regarded a minor in Sweden.
So after a lot of fun in Sweden I returned to Gaerum having spent a lot more, than I had earned. I got a job at the Danish office of a Swedish ferry company, answering phone, booking people's ferry trips, and selling tickets. It was quite fun at times, especially when I got to speak Swedish, but also quite a pain at other times, because I didn't get along with my boss. I ended up being fired after I told my boss I was going to quit.
19 years old I moved to a dorm in Aarhus V, ready to start studying medicine, and that's what I've been doing since. After two years of sharing kitchen with 14 other people I moved out of the dorm and into my present apartment, which was really nice cause finally I was able to get up in the morning, butt naked, make coffee, and drink it while watching cartoons, without freaking out any people because I don't share my kitchen with anybody anymore.
Well there you have it - that's pretty much my entire background story. Looking to the present there is much to say, but that is a private matter.
Well since you insist I guess I can tell you a little about what I like to do. I like to listen to music, play around with my MacBook, watch movies and television - and of cause I love to spend money!
I listen to a wide selection of genres when it comes to music; I pretty much like everything I think sounds good. One day I might be in the mood for classical music, the next pop and the third electronic. I guess though that I like indie rock just a bit more than all other music.
To your left you can see a table of my most played artists since I discovered last.fm and a table of the most recent played tracks.
As with music I like all different kinds of movies as well - superhero movies, plain action, comedy, art and even movies that focuses on telling a good story! I guess that Lost In Translation is my all time favorite movie, because Scarlett Johansson is just so hot and Bill Murray is just so funny! By the way - Scarlett if you're reading this: Will you marry me?
Now you might ask, what's all that Zoo and Monkey stuff about?? Well nothing really, I just like the sound of the word Zoo and monkey just kind of followed...
